These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Vettly Hub (the "Service"), operated out of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

2. Your Account

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. User-Generated Content

Reviews, ratings, questions, answers, product suggestions, and any other content you submit ("User Content") remain yours. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute it as part of operating the Service — including showing it publicly on product pages.

You agree your User Content will not:

  • Be false, misleading, or made in bad faith;
  • Defame, harass, or threaten any person or business;
  • Infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • Contain spam, malware, or unlawful content; or
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with a product or seller (e.g., posting a review for a product you never used).

Reviews should reflect genuine experience with a product. We do not pay for, edit the substance of, or guarantee the accuracy of any review.

4. AI-Generated Content

Product "AI Summary" text is generated automatically by a third-party language model based on the reviews submitted for that product. It is not written or fact-checked by us or by any human reviewer, may not reflect every review, and can occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not treat it as a substitute for reading actual reviews or as professional advice of any kind.

5. Product Suggestions & Catalog

Any user may suggest a product for addition to the catalog. Suggestions are not published until reviewed and approved by an administrator. We do not independently verify that a listed product, its price, or its specifications are accurate or currently available from any marketplace referenced on the Service.

6. Content Moderation

We may (but are not obligated to) remove or edit any User Content, and suspend or terminate any account, at our discretion — including in response to a complaint, a violation of these Terms, or a legal request.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or bulk-download the Service;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system;
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law; or
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the Service.

8. Third-Party Services & Links

The Service uses third-party infrastructure (including Firebase for authentication and data storage, and a third-party AI provider for generated summaries) and may link to third-party marketplaces. We don't control and aren't responsible for those third parties' content, availability, or practices.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT REVIEWS, RATINGS, PRICES, OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VETTLY HUB WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING DECISIONS MADE IN RELIANCE ON USER CONTENT OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Oyo State, Nigeria.
